'Barbie' is conquering the world!

"Barbie," directed by Greta Gerwig, has become the highest-grossing film of the year, earning $1.36 billion globally. It surpassed "The Super Mario Bros. Movie" as the top-grossing movie in 2023. In North America, "Barbie" made $600 million, overtaking "Mario."
Internationally, it earned an impressive $760 million. The film's successful debut in July with $162 million marked the best opening of the year. "Barbie" held the top spot for four weeks, making it the highest-grossing movie directed by a woman. It is now Warner Bros.' highest-grossing global release ever, surpassing "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2." The movie, co-written by Gerwig and Noah Baumbach, stars Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling in a story about Barbie's adventures in the real world, featuring a star-studded cast.
